CLEBURNE, Texas -- K.C. Huth finished with a pair of hits and three RBI, and the Cleburne Railroaders extended their home winning streak to eight with a 5-2 win over the Salina Stockade Monday night at The Depot.

Huth first knocked a two-out, two-run single to give the Railroaders a 2-1 lead in the second inning, and then he added insurance with an RBI single in the sixth.

Starter Josh Hodges -- six days after throwing a complete game against Salina -- pitched 6.2 innings and gave up a pair of runs on five hits with three walks and three strikeouts.

Cortland Cox then retired the four batters he faced, and Winston Abreu worked the ninth for his seventh save of 2017 -- extending the Cleburne bullpen’s scoreless streak to 32.2 straight innings dating back to May 31.

Mitch Glasser hit his third homer of the year -- a solo shot in the fifth -- and Geraldo Valentin finished 2-for-4 with an RBI. Blake Grant-Parks, making his fourth straight start after being activated from the bullpen catcher role, finished 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored.

Game 2 of the four-game set will begin at 7:06 p.m. Tuesday -- also labeled Alex Wilson night at The Depot. Tickets are still available and can be purchased online at or by visiting the box office located at the main gate of the stadium.
