CLEBURNE, Texas -- Mitch Glasser finished 3-for-4 with two RBI, but the Salina Stockade scored a run in each of the final three innings to hold on for an 8-7 win at The Depot Tuesday night.
Glasser had three hits, and Cleburne combined for 11, but after trailing 6-5 heading into the 7th inning, the Stockade strung together three more runs to secure their first series of 2017.
Axel Johnson finished with a pair of hits and an RBI, and Shawn Zarraga hit a solo homer to cut the deficit to one in the 9th, but the Salina bullpen combined to give up just one run over 5.1 innings en route to consecutive wins.
Cleburne struck out a season-high 14 times, and walked six separate times.
Harrison Lee gave up five runs on four hits with four walks and two strikeouts over 4.1 innings, and Cortland Cox surrendered three runs on four hits over 2.1 innings. Bryce Beeler and Casey Upperman combined to throw 2.1 scoreless innings.
Former Railroader Josh Hodges gave up six runs on seven hits with three walks and five strikeouts over 3.2 innings -- his first start for the Stockade.
