GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas -- Geraldo Valentin hit a two-run homer and finished with a season-high four hits, and the Railroaders took back-to-back series with a 6-3 win over the Texas AirHogs at AirHogs Stadium on Sunday evening.

Valentin’s two-run homer -- his fourth of the year and third in Grand Prairie -- gave Cleburne a three-run cushion in the seventh after the Railroaders took the lead K.C. Huth’s RBI single in the sixth.

Valentin drove in three runs and the Railroaders finished with 13 hits a night after the last 20 hitters were retired in order.

Cleburne clinched the season series against Texas with four games remaining, and after a month in between series wins, the Railroaders have won consecutive series for the second time this season.

Patrick Mincey gave up just two runs -- both in the third inning -- on four hits over seven innings. Winston Abreu earned his league-leading 18th save with a scoreless ninth.

Alex Poltson went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and an RBI, and Axel Johnson tied the game run with his RBI double in the fourth. Cleburne’s 7-8-9 hitters reached eight times with a pair of RBI and a run scored.

Cleburne touched up Texas starter Leuris Gomez for two runs on five hits over 4.1 innings, and Luis De La Cruz gave up three runs over just 1.1 innings.

The Railroaders went 3-1 on the brief trip and will now return home to begin a quick three-game series against the Lincoln Saltdogs on Monday. First pitch is set for 7:06 p.m. with pregame beginning 20 minutes prior.

Monday night is also Pudge Night at The Depot. Tickets are still available, but going fast, and can be purchased at or by visiting the box office located near the main gate at the stadium.
