CLEBURNE RAILROADERS ANNOUNCE UPDATED DETAILS FOR EXHIBITION GAMES AT LA MODERNA FIELD

The Cleburne Railroaders have announced updated details for the upcoming exhibition games at La Moderna Field on Tuesday, April 15 and Wednesday, April 16. The international baseball showcase will now feature a Pasta City team made up of players from the Black Sox Pro Baseball Team taking on the Charros de Jalisco in a two-game series, with the first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m. each night.

“Following prior approval from American Association leadership, additional restrictions from the league on a limited timeline made it challenging for the Railroaders to field a team for the exhibition game,” said Chris Rasmussen, Team Partner. “Thanks to the hard work of our Manager Pete Incaviglia, and General Manager Kay Goodell, we have secured a great replacement in the Black Sox. This event will continue to celebrate Hispanic Heritage while also honoring the Railroaders with special appearances throughout the game.”

The Pasta City squad will represent the Railroaders while wearing the club’s alternate uniforms. The Black Sox are a traveling professional team that frequently plays exhibitions against independent league clubs. The Charros de Jalisco are a professional baseball team based in Zapopan, Jalisco, competing in both the Mexican League (LMB) and the Mexican Pacific League (LMP). The Charros are managed by Benji Gil, a former Texas Rangers player and World Baseball Classic champion.

The Railroaders have planned a variety of activities to celebrate Hispanic Heritage and gear up for the upcoming Cleburne Railroaders season, including:

  • Appearances and autograph sessions by Rangers manager Pete Incaviglia, Charros manager Benji Gil, Railroaders alumni, and more.
  • Railroaders ticket giveaways throughout both games.
  • A post-game concert by Los Coyotes del Norte following the contest on Tuesday, April 15.
  • In-person opportunities to purchase tickets for the upcoming Railroaders season.
